Econo Lodge La Junta

Upon entering my Standard King Room, I was immediately hit with a musty smell that lingered throughout my stay. The heating system was totally inadequate-despite the freezing 27-degree weather outside, the room seemed like an ice box for hours. The breakfast offerings were lacking. Just one banana and a mini muffin were available, leaving me frustrated with the bare minimum.

The standard king room was well-equipped with a couch & coffee table, super comfy bed and coffee table and the location was exceptionally nice. Location: the hotel was next to good restaurant, and La Junta.

the hotel is conveniently close to the Koshare Indian Museum, a good stop for anyone interested in local culture, and just a quick walk from the serene views at Purgatoire River Canyon, perfect for a relaxing stroll after a day of sightseeing.

The room was clean and quiet, making it a perfect retreat after my long drive, and the receptionist was pretty helpful in assisting with my check-in process.

I expected more given the price. Wi-Fi was decent, but the local train noise could be disruptive if you're sensitive to sound. It met basic needs, but upgrades would make a big difference.

The musty smell in the room made it uncomfortable!!! Towels felt paper thin and barely dried after use!!! Cleaning standards need a serious upgrade!!! Breakfast options were a total letdown!!!
